Galatasaray Müzesi

GALATASARAY MÜZESİ Galatasaray'ın şanlı geçmişinin en büyük tanığı, müzesidir.Galatasaray Müzesi, dünyadaki ilk spor müzelerinden biridir. 1913 yılında Kalamış'ta, kulüp merkezi ile tesislerin yer aldığı binada Ali Sami Yen tarafından kurulup geliştirilmiştir. Ali Sami Yen'den sonra Evliyazade Mahmut, Ferit İbrahim, Suphi Neş'et, Selahattin Feyzi'nin yardımları ile gelişmiştir. 1. Dünya Savaşı sonrasında ve İstanbul'un işgali nedeniyle bu bina boşaltılmış, müzedeki eşyalar da Galatasaray Lisesi Müdürü Salih Arif'e teslim edilmiştir. Müze, lisede önce konferans salonunun bitişiğindeki odada, daha sonra da ön taraftaki resimhane denilen bölümde oluşturulmuştur. 1972 yılında ise bugün bulunduğu son yerine gelmiştir. Bugünkü müze binası, Galatasaraylı Mimar Ahmet Kemal Aru'nun projesine göre yapılmıştır. 1986'da yenilenerek çağdaş bir duruma getirilmiştir. Müzenin giderleri kulüp bütçesinden ayrılan bir ödenekle karşılanmaktadır.
